Pre-Big Tent Gathering on Immigration and Asylum

Members of your presbytery are invited to a special gathering, Asylum & Immigration Networking & Best Practices, preceding Big Tent 2019.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) invites Presbyterians engaged in local ministries with asylum seekers and other immigrant groups to come together for a time of networking and peer learning. Do you sometimes wonder if you are the only one out there doing this type of work? Well, you are not alone! The number of Presbyterian congregations who are engaging in this type of ministry is growing and developing in new and innovative ways. This session is set aside specifically for individuals who are directly involved in fostering ministries of welcome and advocating for the just treatment of refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable immigrants. PDA will provide facilitators and other resource experts. Come with your passion, your experiences, your reflections and your questions as we seek to hold each other up and share best practices from across the country. Register now!

Monthly Prayer Meeting

The staff of the Presbytery of Milwaukee is inviting members and friends of the presbytery to join them for a monthly prayer meeting, either by coming to the office or by “Praying in Place” at the same time.

Synod Commissioned Pastors Network

The Synod of the Sun has a Commissioned Pastors Network to supplement the work being done by the Committees on Ministry in its presbyteries, with resources and connections across boundaries.

“Deacon-palooza”

The boards of deacons of two congregations in the Presbytery of Cincinnati are offering a training session on hospital and home visits, led by two pastors and open to all deacons in the presbytery.
